baby fiancee'
It told me all I needed to know. He proposed. She said yes. My baby is now
engaged to be married.
betrothed
affianced.
She is now a fiancee'. The beau is now her husband-to-be.
The duration of their courtship spans three years so this announcement can hardly be called unexpected, still I am adjusting to the idea.,
I have time to adjust and to help her plan the wedding as the engagement is expected to be a long one.
She plans to finish her third year of law school and take the bar exam before her big day.
She is thrilled and I am thrilled for her.
I just need a minute to absorb the changes in status.
