You could know immediately that it was Sunday at our house, even if you were to have just awoken from a sound sleep or just walked in the front door. You could know by the smells.
The smells are particular to Sunday.
Here is what Sunday smells like at my house:
pot roast in the oven cooking slowly for our Sunday lunch.
my husband's cologne and mine, mingling together. on weekdays, those scents emit at different times, so that they are singular. On Sundays, they mix.
Coffee and some kind of sweet roll or biscuits baking.
I would know immediately what day of the week it was; just by the smell.
