1818

The food at 1818 was stupendous. The baby sister had read enough reviews to know before we made the reservations that it would be.
Monmouth's current overseer, who had been our guide on a tour of Monmouth earlier in the day was still there, making sure everything was just so.
And so it was!
Our waiter, whose name was George, was as congenial and efficient as everyone else we met at Monmouth. He made excellent recommendations to us regarding the menu and shared more than a few tidbits of information we found useful.
Food excellent. Check.
Service excellent. Check.
Atmosphere. Check, check. The two checks are because, while we were seated in the back or ladies parlor we could see directly into the front or gentlemen's parlor, both of which are spectacularly appointed. They are dressed in the fashion popular of the year for which the restaurant is named.
