more flora and fauna

at longwood, ancient azeleas bloom under ancient trees.

a picket fence and trees abloom on St. Francisville's main street

color was bursting out all over the place on our trip.

the yards and gardens in St. Francisville are "glorious
this time of year" said my handsome nephew, Cole.

Palmettos and azeleas on the grounds of Wakefield.

A rosemary plant in a flower bed outside Grandmother's Buttons
in St. Francisville is fast becoming a tree.

The fences on the drive to Selma is overgrown with lovely flowering shrubbery.

a gorgeous berried bush on the grounds of Stanton Hall.

Camellias (which my Grandmother called Japonica) are
more like trees than shrubs in Louisiana and Mississippi.
