little fisher girl

 

This little girl's granddad took her to get a pink rod and reel of her own last week. She has already used it twice. The first time out, they didn't get a single bite. The second try, pictured above, was much more successful.
She has not decided whether she prefers fishing with minnows or worms. She is also not sure whether she likes fishing in lakes or ponds better. There are some good things about both, she tells me.
The fish she is holding above are the product of pond fishing with minnows.
She had lots of fun catching fish, she said.
"But Gwandad and I had fun fishing with worms at the lake even though we didn't catch any fish!" said she.
